Had a very fast glove hand. First gained attention as a goalie when he was 14 years old.
Started out as a football goaltender for FC Luzern. In ice hockey he started playing for SC Luzern, but then spent the majority of his career playing for HC Davos.
Represented Switzerland 38 times. Retired in 1989.
Humble athlete and popular among his teammates. Passed away in his sleep of heart failure.

Très rapide de la mitaine. Il a attiré l'attention en tant que gardien pour la première fois à 14 ans.
Il commença comme gardien au football pour le FC Lucerne. Au hockey il commença à jouer pour le SC Lucerne, mais il passa essentiellement sa carrière au HC Davos.
International suisse 38 fois. Retraité en 1989.
Athlète humble et populaire parmi ses coéquipiers. Décédé dans son sommeil d'un arrêt cardiaque.
