Born to Ukrainian parents in California but moved to Michigan (Northville) at 12.
Holder of a dual citizenship of both USA and Ukraine. His father Vitaly played soccer and was a coach.
Player with a good nose for the net. Excellent positioning instincts and hockey IQ. Accurate shot and using it frequently.
A pure offensive talent as a junior. Good puck career who can find his teammates. Not much of a defensive player. Decent skater.
Went to play in the KHL (with Salavat Yulaev Ufa) in 2022 despite ongoing war in Ukraine. Joined by his brother Ilia in 2024.
Sasha had always good marks in science along his hockey talent. His other brother Nicholas, who also played in the NCAA, chose a career as an anesthesiologist.

Russophone, né de parents ukrainiens en Californie, il a déménagé à 12 ans dans le Michigan (Northville).
Double nationalité américaine et ukrainienne. Son père Vitaly a joué au football, sport où il a même été entraîneur.
Joueur avec un sens du but affirmé et une science du placement. Son tir de droitier est précis et il l'utilise fréquemment.
Un talent offensif pur en junior, mais pas un joueur défensif. Patineur correct, il porte bien le palet et a l'œil pour créer du jeu.
Il a débuté en NHL le 5 février 2021, dans une victoire 5–4 aux tirs au but face aux Ducks d'Anaheim, récoltant une mention d'assistance.
Parti jouer en KHL (au Salavat Ioulaïev d'Oufa) en 2022 malgré la guerre en Ukraine, rejoint par son frère Ilia en 2024.
Sasha a toujours eu de bonnes notes dans les matières scientifiques. Son autre frère Nicholas aussi : il a opté pour une carrière d'anesthésiste après avoir lui aussi joué au hockey universitaire.
