Fiery, competitive goaltender with great overall skills. Southpaw with a lightning fast glove hand. He made many spectacular saves with it during his career. Quick and agile puck-smothering machine who played his best when the pressure was most intense. He was a bit of a flopper and played the angles really well.
Retired in 1977. Inducted into the US and IIHF Ice Hockey Hall of Fame.

Gardien intrépide, acharné, à l'arsenal complet. Gaucher naturel, ses réflexes lui permirent de réaliser de nombreuses parades spectaculaires du gant. Rapide et agile, aimant à palets qui adorait les ambiances tendues et les moments cruciaux. Bouchait bien ses angles.
S'arrête en 1977. Introduit aux Halls of Fame du hockey américain et de l'IIHF.
