In 1996 he led USA to the nation’s first medal at the World Championships in 34 years.
Late in 1998 he avoided them to get relegated out of the world top-16 by helping them in a qualification tournament.
Retired in 2003. Made a one-game comeback in 2009/10.
Became a firefighter in Fort Wayne after his retirement from ice hockey.
