Low-key, shifty and smart center who had the ability to think one step ahead of teammates and opponents.
Very slick and gifted playmaker who became somewhat of a powerplay specialist in later years. Good at handling the puck but didn’t shoot as much as he should have.
Unselfish player with great stamina who enjoyed setting up a teammate for a goal as much as scoring it himself.
Denis Savard and Paul Coffey were the two NHL players that impressed him the most when he played there.
World champion 1991. Swedish champion and Guldpucken winner as Elitserien best player in 1984. NHL totals: 594-120-335-455.
Retired in 1999. Went on to work as an NHL-scout.

Centre discret, sournois et malin qui pensait avec un temps d'avance sur ses coéquipiers et ses adversaires.
Meneur de jeu astucieux et talentueux qui est devenu une sorte de spécialiste du jeu de puissance avec l'âge. Bon pour manier le palet mais ne tirait pas aussi souvent qu'il aurait dû.
Joueur altruiste avec beaucoup d'endurance qui aimait autant faire marquer un coéquipier que marquer lui-même.
Denis Savard et Paul Coffey étaient les deux joueurs de NHL qui l'ont le plus impressionné durant sa carrière nord-américaine.
Champion du monde 1991. Champion de Suède et Guldpucken (palet d'or) de meilleur joueur en 1984.
455 points (120+335) marqués en 594 parties de NHL.
Retraité en 1999. Il s'est alors mis à travailler comme dépisteur pour la NHL.
