One of smallest pro hockey players (only 168 cm). Not afraid to take and deliver hits though.
Very quick and perpetually in motion. Sturdy on skates with a strong base and a good puck protection.
Cousin of Alex Petan. Childhood friend of Matt Barzal who also has Italian ancestry.
Hannoun scored 14 goals during 2019 WHL playoffs for Prince Albert Raiders, including the Game 7 overtime goal in the final.
Nevertheless he hadn't been drafted in the NHL and was only invited in Boston camp as a free agent to play in the ECHL.
So he went to Italy and could make his career there thanks to the Italian passport inherited from his mother.

Un des plus petits hockeyeurs professionnels (seulement 1m68), il n'a pas peur pour autant de prendre ou de donner des mises en échec.
Très rapide, en mouvement perpétuel, il est solidement campé sur ses patins et a de grandes qualités techniques de protection de palet.
Sa mère et celle d'Alex Petan sont sœurs et originaires du sud de l'Italie. Leur ami d'enfance Matt Barzal a aussi des origines italiennes.
Hannoun a marqué 14 buts pendant les play-offs WHL 2019 dont le but en prolongation du match 7 de la finale qui a offert le titre aux Prince Albert Raiders.
Néanmoins sa taille l'a privé de tout repêchage en NHL et il n'a été invité à un camp des Bruins de Boston que pour jouer ensuite en ECHL.
Il est donc parti en Italie et a utilisé sa double nationalité pour y faire carrière.
