Able to deliver a quick and accurate wrist shot or an excellent one-timer at full speed.
Fast skater but average foot agility. Neither a strong passer nor a playmaker.
Strong forechecker. Defensively responsible. Hard to knock off in board battles.
Traded twice (by Florida and Calgary) before he even came to North America at 21. After his first NHL season Montreal traded him to the New York Islanders to acquire Noah Dobson.

Son atout majeur est son tir précis et rapide, que ce soit du poignet ou sur réception, en jeu placé ou en plein élan.
Patineur rapide mais avec une agilité de pied perfectible. Ce n'est pas ni un passeur ni un créateur de jeu.
Fort à l'échec-avant, défensivement responsable, difficile à bouger dans les bandes.
Échangé deux fois (par Florida puis Calgary) avant même d'arriver en Amérique du Nord à 21 ans. Après sa première saison en NHL, Montréal le cède aux Islanders de New York dans une transaction pour acquérir Noah Dobson.
