Born and grew up in Canada. He was shifty and had good overall skills.
Drafted in the NHL by Philadelphia Flyers in 1980. Spent two solid seasons in the AHL before enjoying a lengthy and successful playing career in Germany.
Gained German citizenship and scored a goal against Canada at the 1987 World Championships.
Scored 456 (233+223) career points in 465 German elite league games (Bundesliga and DEL).
Represented West Germany 20 times. Retired in 2000 and became an ice hockey coach.
Owned Danny’s Bar and Grill in Bietigheim-Bissingen.
Passed away after a lengthy battle with an illness.
