Born in Äppelbo but grew up in Alderbäcken just outside of Borlänge. Started to play ice hockey at the age of 10 in Tunabro.
Stand up goaltender with good patience.
Best goaltender in the 1973 European Junior Championships.
Hero of the 1977 World Championships when he played fantastically against the Soviet Union, leading Sweden to 5-1 and 3-1 victories.
Played briefly in the NHL, but was stuck behind Billy Smith and Glenn Resch in NY Islanders. Retired in 1987.
