Began his hockey career for Bohemians Praha. Made his senior league debut at the age of 17.
Played 440 league games, scoring 123 goals. Very good skater. Liked to play the body.
Worked hard during games, not much of a finisher. Played mostly alongside Pavel Richter.
Represented Czechoslovakia 27 times (4 goals). Finished playing in West Germany and Finland.
Retired in 1989. Became a hockey coach. Also owned a sports shop in Prague.
Became the Chairman of the Disciplinary Commission in the Czech hockey league.

Il a commencé le hockey pour les Bohemians de Prague. Débuts en équipe senior à l’âge de 17 ans.
440 matchs de championnat tchécoslovaque, 123 buts. Très bon patineur qui aimait jouer physique.
Travaillait dur pendant les parties mais peu efficace dans la finition. Il a principalement joué avec Pavel Richter.
27 sélections en équipe de Tchécoslovaquie (4 buts). A fini sa carrière en Allemagne de l’Ouest et en Finlande.
Retraité en 1989, il est devenu entraîneur. Il possédait également un magasin de sport à Prague.
Devenu président de la commission de discipline de la ligue tchèque de hockey.
