His mother originated from Slovakia. 11-time Polish league champion. Often played on a line together with Zdzislaw Nowak and Marian Jezak. Known for his fine shot and splendid technique. Also a smooth skater.
His skating and elusiveness saved him from any serious injuries throughout his playing career.
Played 278 league games and scored 64 goals. Represented Poland 45 times (13 goals). Nicknamed Galant for his habit of dressing fancy.
Emigrated to Sweden in 1973 and worked in Stockholm as a physical education teacher.

Onze titres de champion de Pologne pour ce centre d'origine slovaque par sa mère. Souvent aligné avec Zdzislaw Nowak et Marian Jezak. Son tir vicieux et sa technique remarquable le distinguaient de la masse, avec son patinage fluide bien entendu.
Pourquoi bien entendu ? Car cette mobilité lui valut d'éviter les blessures graves infligées par les défenseurs exaspérés.
278 matches de championnat, 64 buts. 45 sélections nationales, 13 buts. Sur surnom de "Galant" lui venait de sa tendance au raffinement vestimentaire.
Émigra en Suède en 1973 pour y devenir enseignant d'éducation physique.
