Low key and very loyal player. Played for TKNB Bratislava (1946–48), ŠK Slovan NV Bratislava (1948, 1952 and 1954–66) and ATK Praha (1952–54). Represented Czechoslovakia 10 times, but donned the national team sweater for the first time in 1952 at the Academic World Championships.
He was among the first Slovakian born and trained players to represent Czechoslovakia, second Slovakian player behind Ladislav Troják. Became a hockey coach after he retired.
Inducted into the Slovakian Hockey Hall of Fame.

Équipier calme, sans histoire et loyal. A défendu les buts du TKNB Bratislava (1946–48), du ŠK Slovan NV Bratislava (1948, 1952 et 1954–66) et de l'ATK Praha (1952–54). Dix sélections internationales mais quelques-unes en plus pour la sélection universitaire, pour laquelle il participa aux championnats du monde universitaires de 1952.
Fut le deuxième Slovaque à apparaître en équipe nationale de Tchécoslovaquie après Ladislav Troják. Devenu entraîneur par la suite.
Introduit au Hall of Fame du hockey slovaque.
