Scored 260 league goals in 248 games and won the Swiss championship in 1972. Played for EHC Thun, HC Fribourg, HC Lugano, HC La Chaux-de-Fonds and EV Zug. He scored a respectable 260 goals in 245 games for EV Zug.
In Zug he often formed a dangerous line with Oskar Huber and Paul Probst. Represented Switzerland 44 times (15 goals). Retired in 1984. Worked as a mechanic. Died after an accident at work when he was helping an injured colleague.

Cet attaquant prolifique (260 buts en 248 matches de LNA) a porté plusieurs maillots (Thoune, Fribourg, Lugano, La Chaux-de-Fonds pour un titre de champion en 1972, et Zoug) mais surtout le dernier, sous lequel il a inscrit 260 buts également, mais toutes compétitions confondues, sur un total de 245 matches. Il formait là-bas une ligne réputée avec Oskar Huber et Paul Probst.
44 sélections internationales et 15 buts. Arrêta le hockey à 33 ans pour reprendre son métier de mécanicien, qui lui coûtera la vie. Il mourut en effet dans un accident professionnel alors qu'il tentait d'aider un collègue blessé.
