Had a good shot and was considered to be the technically most skilled Hungarian defenseman in the 1960s. He was extremely talented as a football player, appearing on the junior national team. His first love though was hockey.
He was discovered by former international Ferenc Szamosi. Began playing junior hockey in 1952. Represented Hungary 46 times. Played for Budapest Vasutas between 1956 and 1971. Retired in 1971.
Went on to coach various club teams in Hungary, including the national team in the 1970s. Worked as a railway engineer. Passed away after a long illness. Buried at the Újpalotai cemetery in Budapest.
Inducted into the Hungarian Hockey Hall of Fame.

Ce tireur redoutable possédait en outre un bagage technique incomparable parmi les compatriotes défenseurs de sa génération. Également très bon joueur de football, il fut international hongrois en junior dans cette discipline. Mais son premier amour resta le hockey.
C'est l'ancien international Ferenc Szamosi qui découvrit ce talent caché initié au hockey à seulement 12 ans. Passera toute sa carrière (1956-1971) au Vasutas et empilera 46 sélections nationales.
Devenu un entraîneur réputé en Hongrie, où il prendra en charge plusieurs clubs et, brièvement, la sélection nationale pendant les années 70. Ingénieur ferroviaire dans le civil, il mourut à 65 ans d'une longue maladie. Enterré au cimetière Újpalotai à Budapest.
Introduit au Hall of Fame du hockey hongrois.
