Good glove hand and kept his calm during pressure situations. Stayed loyal to SC Bern where he played between 1955 and 1973, winning two league titles.
Represented Switzerland for almost a decade. Battled an alcohol addiction and had to retire in 1972. Was a graphic designer.

Gardien au gant vif, sang-froid à toute épreuve. Un fidèle du SC Berne, n'a jamais connu d'autre club pendant ses 18 ans de carrière. Deux fois champion avec les ours.
Régulièrement appelé par la Nati pendant une bonne dizaine d'années. Un alcoolisme prononcé précipita sa retraite des glaces en 1972. Il était dessinateur professionnel.
