Came to Sweden as a junior to improve his hockey skills. Played there for 10 years. Finished his playing career in Germany where he played until his retirement in 2007. A nagging groin injury and several operations forced him into taking this decision.
After he retired he settled down in Linköping, Sweden, and went on to manage K/S Knold’s Seafood, selling fish, prawns and other seafood to restaurants and shops. It was a natural step for him as his father had worked in the business for 35 years.

Sélectionné dans les équipes nationales norvégiennes de catégorie d'âge, il part en Suède dès ses années de junior pour affiner sa formation. Il y restera dix ans, d'abord à Frölunda puis à Linköping. Finit sa carrière en 2007 après trois saisons en Allemagne, une pubalgie récurrente et de trop nombreux passages par le bloc ayant eu raison de sa résistance.
Installé à Linköping, il est devenu grossiste en poissons et crustacés, ce qui se comprend puisque son père pratiqua la même activité pendant 35 ans dans l'entreprise familiale.
