Left Russia at 21 to play for Kulager Petropavlovsk in Kazakhstan. There he met his wife Sonia, whose grandfather is a former ice hockey player.
They settled in Petropavlovsk and paid visit to Vyacheslav's parents in Chelyabinsk for one month during summers.
In 2024 he got Kazakhstan citizenship and thus had to withdraw Russian passport.
Only debutant in the national team during 2025 Asian Winter Games. Scored his team's first goal in the tournament versus Thailand. Three months later he scored a goal against a stronger opponent, defending world champion Czech Republic.

À 21 ans, à l'automne 2021, il arrive au Kazakhstan pour jouer pour le Kulager Petropavlovsk. Il y rencontre sa future femme Sonia, dont le grand-père est un ancien hockeyeur.
Le couple vit hors saison à Petropavlovsk, et part un mois l'été à Chelyabinsk pour voir les parents de Vyacheslav.
En 2024, il reçoit la citoyenneté du Kazakhstan et abandonne donc son passeport russe.
Seul débutant de l'équipe nationale lors des Jeux asiatiques d'hiver 2025, il marque le premier but du Kazakhstan dans le tournoi... face à la Thaïlande. Trois mois plus tard, le voilà buteur aux championnats du monde contre un adversaire un peu plus renommé, les tenants du titre tchèques.
