Grew up in Vystrkov, a village with less than 300 inhabitants near Humpolec. Joined Dukla Jihlava at 14 and played one junior year in the USHL.
Mobile and proactive goaltender with sound technical fundamentals and quick reaction.
He tracks the puck very well and can adjust his position for different styles of play.
He had to learn to recover better after any goal against. Average stickhandling.
After he was passed by in the draft the San José Sharks offered him a contract in 2018. He played 10 NHL games for them in 2021 and 2 for the Arizona Coyotes in 2022 (90,1% save percentage). But he had played mostly in the AHL so he came back to the Czech Republic at 24 and formed a strong tandem with Jakub Kovář in Sparta Prague.
Likes watching motorcycling races like his father.

Il a grandi à Vystrkov, un village de moins de 300 habitants près de Humpolec. il a rejoint le Dukla Jihlava à 14 ans et a passé une année junior en USHL.
Gardien mobile et proactif avec de solides fondamentaux techniques et des réactions rapides.
Il suit très bien le palet et sait ajuster sa position pour différents styles de jeu.
Il a dû apprendre à mieux gérer mentalement chaque but encaissé. Jeu de crosse moyen.
Non drafté, mais San José l'a fait signer en 2018. Il a joué 10 parties de pour les Sharks en fin de saison 2021 et 2 pour les Arizona Coyotes en 2022 (90,1% d'arrêts en NHL). Aynt surtout joué en AHL, il est rentré au pays à 24 ans pour former un solide duo au Sparta Prague avec le vétéran Jakub Kovář.
Il a hérité de son père, motard dans sa jeunesse, un intérêt pour les courses de moto.
