Tall and lanky defender. Began his career as a forward before switching to defense.
Won eight consecutive league titles, but was deprived of the ninth when he had to do his military service, which under Tito's leadership was a big deal. Worked as a metallurgical technician.

Grand et efflanqué, il débuta en attaque avant de migrer vers la bleue. Huit fois consécutives champion de Yougoslavie et non neuf car il dut faire son service militaire, ce avec quoi on ne riait pas sous Tito.
Il était technicien dans le civil dans l'usine sidérurgique de Jesenice.
