Played his junior hockey for Oakville Blades and London Knights of the OHA.
He then played as a pro in the IHL and CHL. Also played senior hockey before coming over to the Netherlands.
Played three seasons in Heerenveen and won the league three times.
Retired in 1982 and went on to work as a contractor in Orillia, ON. (Lenssen Contracting).

Il pratiqua son hockey junior chez les Blades d'Oakville et les Knights de London en OHA.
Il passa ensuite pro en IHL et CHL. Il joua également en senior avant de partir aux Pays-Bas en 1979.
Lenssen passa trois saisons à Heerenveen et devint champion des Pays-Bas trois fois.
Retraité en 1982, il devint entrepreneur à Orillia, dans l'Ontario (Lenssen Contracting).
