One of the best goaltenders in West Germany when he won four league titles with Füssen (1960, 1962, 1964 and 1965).
Worked as an electrician and actually lost money by playing ice hockey.
Represented West Germany 15 times. Moved to Augsburg from 1965 to 1969.
Celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary with his wife Anita in 2022. Died from a long illness one year later.

Né dans les Sudètes, il remporta quatre titres de champion d'Allemagne de l'Ouest avec Füssen (1960, 1962, 1964 et 1965).
Le hockey sur glace fait perdre de l'argent à cet électricien de profession car il y est moins payé.
15 sélections pour la RFA entre 1961 et 1963. Parti jouer pour Augsbourg de 1965 à sa retraite en 1969.
Il a fêté ses noces de diamant (60 ans de mariage) avec son épouse Anita en 2022. Mort d'une longue maladie un an plus tard.
