One of six children. His brother Ed was a top ranked curler in Canada, winning the World Curling championships in 1986.
His cousin Brad Lukowich played in the NHL.
Grew up idolizing Gordie Howe and opted to play in the WHA rather than NHL when he got the chance to play together with Howe in Houston.
Small, but known to be gritty and a fast skater.
Finished his playing career in Europe, playing in Italy and Switzerland.
Retired in 1993. Briefly played as a roller hockey player in 1994.
Went on to operate ice hockey camps in Calgary, AB.

Son cousin Brad Lukowich joua également en NHL.
Ayant grandi avec Gordie Howe pour idole, il préféra jouer en WHA plutôt qu'en NHL pour avoir la chance de jouer à ses côtés à Houston.
Petit gabarit, mais connu pour son cran et pour être un patineur rapide.
Il termina sa carrière en Europe, jouant en Italie (Merano) et en Suisse (Coire, Rapperswil, Bülach).
Retraité en 1993, il joua brièvement au roller hockey en 1994.
Devenu organisateur de camps de hockey à Calgary.
418 points (199+219) en 582 parties de saison régulière de NHL avec Winnipeg, Boston et Los Angeles.
