One of the best British goaltenders in the 1980s and 90s.
He was mentored by former Ayr Bruins goalie Tommy Newall.
Retired in 1998 but came back in 2007 to play recreational ice hockey at his hometown in Ayr, playing for Ayr Jets until 2012.
He is one of the few players who managed to appear in all four divisions of the World Championships.
His most memorable international game according to himself was the 4-0 win over Denmark at the Pool B World Championships in Eindhoven 1993.

Il eut pour mentor l'ancien gardien des Bruins d'Ayr Tommy Newall.
Retraité en 1998 mais réapparu en 2007 pour jouer en loisirs dans sa ville de naissance d'Ayr, jouant pour les Jets jusqu'en 2012.
L'un des rares joueurs à avoir joué dans les quatre échelons des championnats du monde.
Son match international le plus mémorable fut la victoire 4-0 face au Danemark lors des Mondiaux B à Eindhoven en 1993.
