Solid goaltender who always was popular among his teammates. He was quick and agile.
Noted as being an excellent puckhandler.
He faced a lot of shots during his NHL-career but handled the workload well.
Eventually became a hockey analyst with CBC and a broadcaster for Hockey Night in Canada. Covered 12 Stanley Cup finals on television.

Rapide et agile. Connu pour son excellent maniement du palet.
Il a fait face à de nombreux lancers dans sa carrière NHL mais gérait bien la charge de travail.
Devenu analyste pour CBC puis présentateur de Hockey Night in Canada, il a couvert douze finales de Coupe Stanley pour la télévision.
3,87 buts encaissés par match de moyenne et 87,3 % d'arrêts en 604 parties dans la NHL.
