His parents moved from Albert to Amiens when he was a child. Started ice hockey at the age of eight.
Moyon was part of the young Amiens generation who became French junior champion in 1980.
He started with senior team the next season and helped them to gain promotion to the elite league in 1982.
In his younger years he was an offensive defenceman and sometimes played on the wing.
Later he was known as a small but sturdy blueliner who didn’t mind playing a physical brand of hockey.
Moyon’s only other club was a three-year stint in Reims between 1988 and 1991.
He wasn't called in national team before he was 30.
Helped Amiens to win a league title in 1999 before retiring in 2000.
He holds the record of games played for Amiens (554). His number 8 jersey has been retired by the club.

Ses parents ont déménagé d'Albert (à 30 kilomètres) à Amiens quand il était petit. Il a commencé le hockey à huit ans.
Moyon faisait partie de la jeune génération amiénoise championne de France junior en 1980.
Il a débuté en équipe senior la saison suivante et a participé à l'accession en élite en 1982.
Dans ses jeunes années, c'était un défenseur offensif, qui joua même à l'aile.
Plus tard il fut connu comme un défenseur râblé qui n'hésitait pas à pratiquer un jeu physique.
Le seul autre club de Moyon fut Reims, où il a joué trois ans entre 1988 et 1991.
Il n'a jamais été appelé en équipe nationale avant d'avoir 30 ans. Le sélectionneur national Kjell Larsson disait de lui qu'il ne faisait jamais rien d'extraordinaire mais faisait peu de fautes.
Il a été un artisan du premier titre d'Amiens obtenu en 1999 avant de prendre sa retraite en 2000.
Moyon est le recordman des matches joués pour Amiens (554) et son numéro 8 a été retiré par le club.
