Grew up admiring the play of Wayne Gretzky and Peter Forsberg.
Highly touted as a junior. Drafted 8th overall in the NHL draft 2006 by Phoenix Coyotes.
Impressive size, hand/eye coordination and reach. Very good with the puck on his blade.
Equally adept at scoring goals as setting up teammates. Versatile enough to play all three forward positions.
Not a great skater but with deceptive speed when in possession of the puck.
As a junior he had the uncanny ability to be in the right spot at the right time.
Efficient player, knowing when to exert the proper energy. Not always physical enough.
Injuries, including a couple of concussions, slowed down his career.
He moved to Europe in 2013 and went on to play in Switzerland, Sweden, Austria and the Czech Republic, achieving good results there.
Became the first foreign player to lead Czech Extraliga scoring (2020/21).

Il dispose d'une taille impressionnante, d'une bonne coordination main/oeil et d'une grande portée. Très bon avec la rondelle sur sa palette.
Aussi efficace pour marquer que pour distribuer le jeu. Ce joueur polyvalent peut jouer dans les trois positions offensives.
Pas le meilleur patineur mais il témoigne d'une vitesse trompeuse quand il est en possession du palet.
En junior il se distinguait par une aptitude incroyable à se trouver au bon endroit au bon moment.
Joueur efficace, sachant gérer ses efforts à merveille. Il n'est cependant pas assez physique.
Des blessures, et notamment des commotions, ont mis un frein à sa carrière.
Il est arrivé en Europe en 2013 et joua en Suisse, en Suède, en Autriche et en République Tchèque, en y obtenant de bons résultats.
Premier joueur étranger finissant meilleur marqueur d'Extraliga tchèque (2020/21).
160 points (63+97) en 297 parties de saison régulière dans la NHL.
