Father of Ben O’Connor who also represented Great Britain.
Canadian who played University ice hockey for Michigan Tech between 1979-83. Drafted in the NHL by Los Angeles Kings in 1980.
Came to Great Britain in 1984 and spent thirteen seasons there. Three-time British First Team All-Star. Seven British league titles.
Suspended for almost an entire season in 1989/90 due to rough play.
Good leader in the locker room and on the ice, serving as captain for several years.
Founded a sports marketing business, called First Team Consultants, in Great Britain during his playing days.
Remained in ice hockey after his playing days were over in 1997. Served as general manager for Newcastle and Sheffield. Also director of hockey operations for Hull.

Canadien qui a joué en hockey universitaire pour Michigan Tech entre 1979 et 1983. Drafté en NHL par les Kings de Los Angeles en 1980.
Arrivé en 1984 en Grande-Bretagne où il passa treize saisons. Il y remporta sept titres de champion et fut nommé trois fois dans la première équipe étoile.
Suspendu durant presque l'intégralité de la saison 1989/90 en raison de son jeu agressif.
Très bon leader sur la glace et dans le vestiaire, il fut capitaine de Durham plusieurs années.
Mike a fondé son entreprise de marketing sportif - First Team Consultants - durant ses années de joueur en Grande Bretagne.
Il resta investi dans le hockey à l'issue de sa carrière de joueur en 1997, comme manager de Newcastle, président de Hull et manager de Sheffield.
