A steady goaltender with good positioning that represented Sweden 15 times.
Stood on the goalline and rarely challenged the shooters. Was a candidate for the goaltending position prior to the 1980 Winter Olympics, but declared early in the season that he wasn’t interested.
Retired in 1982 and served as an emergency backup in 1987/88.
Worked as a hockey coach after his playing career and was actively involved in the development of junior players in the Karlstad area.

Gardien solide au bon placement, 15 fois sélectionné pour la Tre Kronor.
Préférait rester sur sa ligne et s'aventurait rarement loin de son enclave. Quand son nom fut évoqué pour garder les buts suédois aux Jeux olympiques 1980, il fit très vite savoir qu'il déclinerait l'offre.
Sa carrière s'est achevée une première fois en 1982, puis une seconde en 1988, après une saison à faire office de remplaçant de secours.
Devenu entraîneur et formateur, particulièrement impliqué dans la détection et le développement de jeunes joueurs dans la région de Karlstad.
