Small but creative defenseman who was equally comfortable at having both an offensive and defensive role on his teams. Made his debut on the Swiss national team on December 26, 1989 against Czerchoslovakia. Had a very good World Championship Pool B tournament in 1996 as he had more points than any other defenseman, made the All-Star team and was voted as the best defenseman of the tournament. Retired in 2004.
Was an assistant coach and team manager for the Swiss junior national team for many years.

Défenseur gauche, petit mais créatif, aussi à l'aise dans un rôle défensif ou offensif dans toutes ses équipes. Il a fait ses débuts en sélection suisse le 26 décembre 1989 contre la Tchécoslovaquie. Il a réalisé un très bon Mondial B en 1996 où il fut le défenseur le plus prolifique en terme de points, désigné dans l'équipe All-Star et élu meilleur défenseur du tournoi. Il a pris sa retraite en 2004.
Il fut entraîneur assistant et manager de la sélection junior suisse pendant de nombreuses années.
