Made his hockey debut as a 10-year old kid in 1968 for one of the Baildon Katowice junior teams.
Debuted in the Polish league in 1976 and played 423 league games, scoring 204 goals.
Admired the play of Sergei Makarov. Player of the year in Poland 1984.
Emigrated to Germany and finished his playing career there, retiring in 1997 and became a hockey coach. Represented Poland 103 times (47 goals).
Was a construction worker during his playing days in Poland.

Débute le hockey à 10 ans dans sa ville natale pour les équipes de jeunes du Baildon Katowice.
Fait son apparition en championnat de Pologne en 1976, point de départ d'une longue carrière aux 423 matches et 204 buts.
Grand admirateur de Sergei Makarov, il fut élu joueur polonais de l'année en 1984.
Émigra à ses 30 ans, vers la Suisse puis l'Allemagne, où il jouera une dizaine d'années en DEL-2 avant de devenir entraîneur. Affiche 103 sélections nationales pour 47 buts.
Ouvrier en bâtiment pendant ses années polonaises.
