Born and grew up in Toronto as a typical Canadian kid. He would get up at five o’clock in the morning to skate and play ice hockey at the backyard rink, then go to school, come home and play ice hockey until dinner.
Thanks to his Italian father he was able to gain an Italian passport and went on to represent the country internationally. Scored 1309 (623+686) career points in 1321 games. Retired in June 2008.

Gamin ontarien typique. Se levait à cinq heures du matin pour patiner et jouer au hockey sur une petite patinoire située derrière sa maison d'enfance, à Toronto. Au retour de l'école, reprenait la crosse et taquinait le palet jusqu'au dîner.
Récupère un passeport italien en 2000 par filiation, part jouer à Asiago et gagne le droit de représenter l'Azzurra, lui qui avait connu les différentes ligues mineures nord-américaines. 1309 points (623+686) en 1321 matches. S'arrête en 2008.
Aucun point marqué en trois parties de NHL.
