Father of Libor Dolana. Strong and speedy winger who was good at going straight on goal.
Began playing ice hockey at the pond in Malšovice, Hradec Králové.
Represented Czechoslovakia 59 times (33 goals).
Often played together with Josef Cerny on one line. Later shifted to a center position.
Played three seasons in Italy for Bolzano from 1969 to 1972.
Retired in 1973 and became a coach his home club Hrádec Kralové. He led them up from third to second level three years later.
Scored 228 goals in Czechoslovak top league.
His number five jersey was retired by Pardubice.
