A physical player despite his modest size (181 cm). Good skating. Decent technical skills.
His father Tom Rune Edvardsen retired from playing ice hockey at only 30 because he still played very little ittle ice time with Storhamar first team. He became the team's longtime equipment manager and also worked in a sports and swimming center.
Simen Andre was Norwegian champion 2018 with Storhamar at only 19 though he had little ice time and scored zero goals. Then he improved quickly year after year with a good nose for the net. Moved to Sweden in 2023.
Had surgery in August 2024 after a rare accident when his leg was cut by his own skate during training.

Son père Tom Rune Edvardsen a raccroché ses patins de hockeyeur à 30 ans parce qu'il jouait encore peu en équipe première de Storhamar. Il s'est ensuite occupé des patins des autres en devenant le responsable matériel du club et a aussi travaillé dans un centre sportif et aquatique.
Simen Andre a été champion de Norvège 2018 avec Storhamar à seulement 19 ans avec un faible temps de jeu et zéro but marqué. Il s'est ensuite rapidement amélioré, notamment par son sens du but près du filet. Parti jouer en Suède en 2023.
Il a dû être opéré en août 2024 après un accident rare à l'entraînement quand il s'est coupé la jambe avec son propre patin.
