A sturdy body (180 cm, 93 kg). Strong skating but average positioning.
Top scorer in the Latvian Under 16 league before he left to the United States at 15.
Strong NCAA career with Clarkson University (105 points in 135 games). Also played two seasons in the AHL - one Covid-shortened year and one injury-ridden year - before coming back to Europe (Swiss B-league).
He had the honor to debuted in the World championships on his birthday. His favorite food is lasagna.
His younger brother Verners Egle also became a professional player - in Belgium.

Meilleur marqueur du championnat letton des moins de 16 ans avant de partir aux États-Unis à 15 ans.
Belle carrière NCAA à l'université Clarkson (105 points en 135 parties). Il a ensuite passé deux saisons en AHL - l'une raccourcie par la pandémie de Covid et la seconde hachée par les blessures - avant de revenir en Europe, plus précisément en ligue B suisse à Langenthal.
Il a eu l'honneur de débuter en championnat du monde le jour de son anniversaire. Son plat favori, ce sont les lasagnes.
Son frère cadet Verners Egle est aussi devenu hockeyeur professionnel - mais seulement en Belgique.
