Grew up in a hockey oriented family in Prešov. His father coached teams and his older brother played the game. Naturally he was around ice hockey rinks all the time.
Began playing for HC Košice. Won a Slovakian championship in 2012 with HC Slovan Bratislava. Later played in the Czech Republic before coming home in 2017, signing for Dukla Trenčin.

Issu d'une famille de hockeyeurs slovaques originaires de Prešov, dans les monts Tatras. Son père fut entraîneur et son propre frère est également hockeyeur de bon niveau. Autant dire que le petit Peter a grandi sur la glace.
A peine une année de junior aux États-Unis et il apparaît en championnat slovaque sous les couleurs du HC Košice avant de se balader de club en club. Champion slovaque 2012 avec le Slovan Bratislava. Passa cinq ans en République tchèque une fois la trentaine passée avant de revenir en Slovaquie en 2017 pour représenter le Dukla Trenčin.
