Born in Ruse, Bulgaria but moved to Moscow, Russia when he was a little child.
Began playing hockey at age five in Moscow. Later played hockey in Voskresensk.
Came to Finland at age 18 and played there for three seasons before coming to North America.
Dual Bulgarian and Russian citizen. Goalie with a projectable frame. Confident goalkeeper.
Great foot work. Very quick from post to post. Tutored by goalie coach Benoît Allaire.

Né à Ruse en Bulgarie, il a déménagé à Moscou en Russie quand il était petit enfant.
Il a commencé le hockey sur glace à 5 ans à Moscou et a ensuité joué à Voskresensk.
Il est arrivé en Finlande à 18 ans et y a passé trois saisons avant de partir en Amérique du Nord.
Double nationalité russe et bulgare. Gardien confiant, au gabarit mobile (186 cm, 82kg).
Excellent travail de pied. Très rapide d'un poteau à l'autre. Formé par l'entraîneur de gardiens Benoît Allaire.
