Accomplished skater with good puck movement. Nice offensive ability and hard worker.
Always willing to improve his all-around game. Tenacious playing style. Solid on the power play.
Strong, but lacked ideal NHL size for a blueliner. Sometimes struggled against bigger forwards in his own end.
Underrated as a physical presence. Developed into a good team leader.
Became the all-time NHL leader for blocked shots (2045) in February 2023, just before turning 40.

Patineur accompli avec un bon mouvement du palet. Belles habiletés offensives et travailleur infatigable.
Il veut toujours s’améliorer et pratique un style de jeu tenace. Solide en supériorité numérique.
Fort mais un peu petit (183 cm) pour un défenseur de NHL. Parfois en difficulté dans sa zone contre des avants de gabarit supérieur.
Sous-estimé pour sa présence physique. Il s’est révélé comme un excellent leader d’équipe.
Il a établi un nouveau record NHL de tirs bloqués en carrière (2045) en février 2023, juste avant de fêter ses 40 ans.
