Represented Poland 114 times (41 goals). 206 goals in 303 Polish league games.
Seven-time Polish champion with Legia (1956, 1957, 1959, 1961, 1963, 1964, 1967). Polish player of the year in 1962.
He was a lieutenant when he retired from (military club) Legia in 1968, at 32.

Patineur rapide qui n’hésitait pas à faire le sale boulot. Très combatif malgré son petit gabarit (166 cm, 70 kg).
Doté d'un bon tir du poignet et d'un bon slap. Il se dévouait pour l'équipe et suivait toujours les consignes.
114 sélections en équipe de Pologne (41 buts). 206 buts en 303 matches de championnat polonais.
Sept fois champion de Pologne avec le Legia (1956, 1957, 1959, 1961, 1963, 1964, 1967). Joueur polonais de l’année en 1962.
Il avait le grade de lieutenant quand il a pris sa retraite du club militaire du Legia en 1968, à 32 ans.
