Hagel was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, but was raised in Morinville, Alberta.
Good scorer in juniors, setting a franchise record in assists with Red Deer Rebels.
A player with a nose for the net and a keen awareness of his position. Never shy using his shot. Solid playmaker.
Lacking the ideal size, but making up for it with a gritty playing style. Tremendous competitor with a strong work ethic.
Won gold medals with Canada at the 2021 World Championships and the 2025 Four Nations Face-off.

Hagel est né à Saskatoon, mais a grandi à Morinville dans l'Alberta.
Gros marqueur en junior, établissant un record de franchise record en assists avec les Rebels de Red Deer.
Il a une conscience aigue de sa position par rapport au but et ne craint jamais d'utiliser son tir. Il maîtrise aussi les passes.
