Robust defenseman who didn’t mind the rough stuff. Not very technical, but good at clearing the crease.
Started ice hockey at the age of 4 in Topoľčany together with Miroslav Šatan.
142 (48+94) career points in 478 games in Slovakian Extraliga. Five-time champion (1994, 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2005).
52 games with Slovakian national team (1 goal). World champion 2002.
In 2002/03 he joined his friend Šatan with the Buffalo Sabres, but played only 14 games (no points), spending most of the season in AHL.
He finished his career in Manchester (Great Britain 2006/07) and Pontebba (Italy 2007/08).
Retired in 2008 and studied management. He sold cars and worked in food supplements business. He also worked as expert commentator for Slovakian TV.
He worked as VTJ Topoľčany manager during three years (2009-2012). In 2017 he was appointed head coach of the Slovakian U15 national team.

142 (48+94) points en 478 parties d'Extraliga slovaque. Cinq fois champion de Slovaquie (1994, 1998, 2000, 2002 et 2005).
52 sélections avec l'équipe de Slovaquie (1 but). Champion du monde 2002, ayant intégré l'équipe en quart de finale.
En 2002/03 il a rejoint son ami Šatan chez les Buffalo Sabres, mais n'y a joué que 14 rencontres (sans point), passant le reste de la saison en AHL.
Il a fini sa carrière à Manchester (Grande-Bretagne 2006/07) et à Pontebba (Italie 2007/08) avant de prendre sa retraite.
Il a étudié le management, vendu des voitures et travaillé dans les compléments alimentaires. Il a aussi été consultant pour la télévision slovaque.
Manager du VTJ Topoľčany pendant trois ans (2009-2012). Nommé sélectionneur de l'équipe de Slovaquie des moins de 15 ans en 2017.
