Very quick and athletic goaltender. Often challenging the shooters and using his speed to his advantage. Good intelligence for the game.
He already chose the goalie position in his first ice hockey training session as a child.
His first shutout came in only his third KHL game against Dinamo Riga at 18.
Won his first national team game in Nuremberg and got a point in his first World Championship game vs Czech Republic.

Gardien de gabarit modeste (183 cm) mais très rapide et athlétique. Il défie souvent les tireurs adverses et utilise la vitesse à son avantage. Calme, avec une bonne lecture du jeu.
Enfant, il a choisi d'être gardien dès son premier entraînement de hockey sur glace.
Il a récolté son premier blanchissage à son troisième match de KHL contre le Dinamo Riga, à 18 ans.
Il a gagné son premier match en équipe nationale à Nuremberg et a pris un point dans son premier match de championnat du monde face aux Tchèques, tout cela à 19 ans.
