Played for Polonia Bytom for almost two decades where he made his debut in 1966. Grew up admiring the play of Vladislav Tretiak. His national team debut came in 1984.
He was the hero who first qualified Polonia Bytom for European Cup final, then helped Poland to get promoted into top division. He was obviously voted as the Polish player of the year in 1985.
Finished his career in 1989, playing in Yugoslavia. Worked as a locksmith.

A joué pendant quasiment vingt ans au Polonia Bytom, entrant au club en 1966. Curieusement, cet admirateur de Tretiak n'est arrivé en équipe nationale polonaise qu'à 31 ans, en 1984.
Héros qui a qualifié le Polonia Bytom pour la finale de Coupe d'Europe puis fait monter son pays dans l'élite avant d'être logiquement élu joueur polonais de l'année 1985.
Il poussera le plaisir du jeu jusqu'en 1989, finissant par une année en Yougoslavie, à l'Étoile rouge de Belgrade. Il était serrurier, une profession particulièrement adaptée à son poste.
