Born Svolvær, Lofoten but moved to Oslo with his family at a young age.
He was awarded Gullpucken as the best Norwegian player in 1986 and 1987.
Represented Norway 83 times.
Was a two-time All-Star at the Pool B World Championships and was also voted as the best forward once.
In 1986 he had the second best +/- in the tournament (+23).
Strong player in the offensive zone. Shifty and technical.
In Norway he scored 909 points (363+546) in 599 league games. Retired 1997.
Became a hockey coach and coached the Norwegian U-18 and U-20 teams.

Né à Svolvær dans les îles Lofoten, il déménagea à Oslo avec sa famille quand il était enfant.
Il remporta le Gullpucken du meilleur joueur norvégien en 1986 et 1987.
83 sélections en équipe de Norvège.
Désigné par deux fois dans l'équipe-type des Mondiaux B, et une fois meilleur attaquant.
En 1986 il eut le deuxième ratio +/- du tournoi (+23).
Joueur costaud dans la zone offensive. Très technique.

Il devint entraîneur de hockey et sélectionneur des moins de 18 ans et moins de 20 ans nationaux.
