Father of Andrzej Małysiak.
Very small player (165 cm/ 5’5”) and a good shooter. Very speedy player with a surprising shot.
Between 1953 and 1956 he played for AZS Katowice. He won a bronze medal at the Academic World Championships in 1956.
Between 1957 and 1969 he donned the colors of Górnik Katowice, and then GKS Katowice.
During this period he won five Polish league titles, 1958, 1960, 1962, 1965 and 1968.
Małysiak was the top scorer in the league 1958/59 with 23 goals.
Often played on a line together with Józef Kurek and Bronislaw Gosztyla.
He represented Poland 29 times (4 goals). Later he coached the GKS Katowice club.
In 2018 he was one of the first six GKS Katowice players to be inducted into their Hall of Fame together with Andrzej Fonfara, Janusz Świerc, Maksymilian Lebek, Henryk Reguła and Sylwester Wilczek.

Joueur très petit (1m65) et très rapide qui possédait un bon lancer surprenant.
Entre 1953 et 1956 il joua pour l'AZS Katowice. Il remporta la médaille de bronze des Universiades 1956.
Entre 1957 et 1969 il porta les couleurs du Górnik Katowice, devenu GKS Katowice.
Il y remporta cinq titres de champion de Pologne, 1958, 1960, 1962, 1965 et 1968.
Małysiak fut meilleur marqueur du championnat 1958/59 avec 23 buts.
Souvent aligné avec Józef Kurek et Bronislaw Gosztyla.
29 sélections en équipe de Pologne, 4 buts. Ensuite entraîneur du GKS Katowice.
En 2018 il fut l'un des six premiers joueurs du GKS Katowice à être intronisé au temple de la renommée du club avec Andrzej Fonfara, Janusz Świerc, Maksymilian Lebek, Henryk Reguła et Sylwester Wilczek.
