Small forward and an excellent playmaker and stickhandler. Good on-ice vision. Patient with the puck and a natural point producer.
Versatile up front with the ability to play on both wings. Only average without the puck.
A late bloomer who got his NHL breakthrough at 24 in Tampa. The next year (2016/17) he scored 30 goals with the Florida Panthers, who were reluctant to offer him an higher salary and let him available during expansion draft. Las Vegas picked him and he became one of the new franchise major faces.
NHL playoff MVP (Conn Smythe Trophy) in 2023 with Vegas Golden Knightsn defeating his former team Florida in the final.

Petit attaquant de 1m75 avec d'excellentes qualités de créateur de jeu et de maniement de la crosse. Bonne vision du jeu.
Patient avec le palet et prolifique naturellement. Polyvalent, il sait jouer sur les deux ailes. Moyen dans le jeu sans palet.
Il n'a vraiment percé en NHL qu'à 24 ans à Tampa. La saison suivante (2016/17) il met 30 buts avec les Florida Panthers, mais ceux-ci préfèrent le laisser disponible pour la draft d'expansion plutôt que de le prolonger à un salaire plus élevé. Il deviendra un joueur-symbole de la nouvelle franchise des Golden Knights de Vegas.
Meilleur joueur des playoffs NHL (trophée Conn Smythe) en 2023 avec Vegas (en battant son ancienne équipe Florida en finale) il est le premier joueur non drafté à obtenir cette récompense depuis un certain Wayne Gretzky.
