Younger brother of Bob Miller.
Every winter their father made a makeshift rink in the backyard of their house and flooded it with a hose.
Their father owned a sporting-goods store called Varsity Sports in the center of Billerica. He also co-founded the Billerica Youth Hockey Association.
Paul Miller only appeared in three NHL games.
He registered one point in his first game on November 20, 1981 vs Buffalo when he assisted on his brother Bob’s goal.
In his second game at Vancouver he had two assists, one on his brother Bob’s goal, and the second was on the game-tying goal of the game.
Retired in 1984 after suffering a career ending injury.

Tous les hivers leur père créait une patinoire de fortune dans la cour de la maison avec un tuyau d'arrosage.
Leur père, propriétaire d'un magasin d'articles de sport appelé Varsity Sports dans le centre de Billerica, a co-fondé l'Association du hockey de jeunes à Billerica.
Paul Miller n'a joué que trois matchs dans la NHL.
Il collecta un point lors de son premier match le 30 novembre 1981 contre Buffalo en étant à la passe sur un but de son frère Bob.
Lors du deuxième match à Vancouver il totalisa deux assistances, une sur un nouveau but de Bob, et une deuxième sur un but égalisateur.
Retraité en 1984 après une blessure qui mit fin à sa carrière.
