Very technical player with strong one-on-one skills. He reads the game well and delivers good passes.
He had un unonventional path for a Kazakh player when he went to Finland to spend the 2021/22 season in Mestis with RoKi Rovaniemi. He was named player of the month in January and became the league's seventh scorers. He was invited to the national team training camp but was cut before playing the preparation games.
Came back home and proved his talent by forming a strong duo with Maksim Mukhametov. They took home Winter Universiade bronze medal and won Kazakhstan league. They were both selected by their club coach Galym Mambetalyev to play on the fourth line and had a good World Championship tournament.

Joueur très technique, dribbleur, qui voit bien le jeu et distribue de bonnes passes.
Il a choisi une voie originale en partant en Finlande pour passer la saison 2021/22 en Mestis avec le RoKi Rovaniemi, près du cercle polaire. Il a été joueur du mois en janvier et a terminé septième marqueur du championnat. Invité au camp d'entraînement de l'équipe nationale, il a été retranché avant même de jouer les matches de préparation.
Il a alors démontré son talent au pays en formant un duo dominant avec Maksim Mukhametov, lors des Universiades d'hiver 2023 puis en devenant champion du Kazakhstan. Les deux hommes ont été pris par leur entraîneur Galym Mambetalyev pour jouer en quatrième ligne et ont continué sur leur lancée avec de bonnes performances. Muratov a alors été intégré au Barys.
