Both his parents were born in Italy, his mother in Chions and his father in Bannia, two villages in the province of Pordenone, in the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. They emigrated to Canada. Muzzatti’s older brothers were fluent in Italian.
Butterfly-styled goaltender who rarely got caught out of position. Handled rebounds well. Good stickhandling.
Represented the Canadian national team for a few months in 1992/93.
Moved to Europe in 1998. Missed the majority of 1998-99 season after undergoing minor heart surgery in September 1998.
Spent eight seasons in Europe, five in Italy, two in Germany and one in Finland.
Retired in 2007. Went into coaching and worked as a goaltending coach in the NHL.
