Konstantin Okulov's father was also a hockey player back in Novosibirsk, but never reached higher than the second team of Novosibirsk.
The young Okulov began skating and playing hockey at the age of six, and was enrolled in a hockey school one year later.
Made his debut in the MHL (the junior league) at age 16 and immediately scored a goal in his first game.
Made his KHL debut on September 18, 2013 at the age of 18 years and 7 months. Scored his first KHL goal in his ninth game.
Technical and smart player. Strong playoff performer when games are on the line.
He blossomed in the 2019 KHL playoffs when he helped CSKA Moscow win the Gagarin Cup by scoring 14 points in 19 games.
A feat that he repeated in 2022 with CSKA, winning the Gagarin Cup for a second time, scoring 17 points in 22 games.
In 2020, both the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs showed interest in him, but Okulov decided to re-sign with CSKA.
Appeared in only one game at his first World Championship tournament, when he played 11:08 min against the Czech Republic in the opening game.

Le père de Konstantin Okulov jouait également au hockey à Novosibirsk, mais ne put jamais aller plus haut que l'équipe B de Novosibirsk.
Le jeune Okulov commença à patiner et à jouer à six ans, et a rejoint une école de hockey l'année suivante.

Lors des play-offs KHL 2019 il contribua au gain de la Coupe Gagarine par le CSKA Moscou avec 14 points en 19 rencontres.
Performance répétée en 2022, toujours avec le CSKA, vainqueur de la Coupe Gagarine pour la deuxième fois en marquant 17 points en 22 matchs.
En 2020, les Canadiens de Montréal comme les Maple Leafs de Toronto se sont intéressés à lui, mais Okulov décida de prolonger avec le CSKA Moscou.
Apparu une seule fois aux Mondiaux, quand il joua 11 minutes contre la Tchéquie lors du match d'ouverture 2011.
