Olesz, Rostislav

Position : LW

10-10-1985 Bilovec, CZE

Youth team / club formateur : HC Poruba

Agile and quick two-way forward. Smart player, useful both on powerplays and penalty-kills.
Character player who always put the team ahead of any personal accomplishments. Good on faceoffs.
Made his Czech league debut as a 15-year old (15 years and 3 months) as the youngest ever up to that point.
When he made his senior national team debut on December 22, 2002, he was only 17 years, 2 months and 12 days old.
As a potential star player he was drafted 7th overall in the NHL by Florida in 2004.
Unfortunately he didn't became that projected first line player, and became more of a third line player in the NHL.
After nine years in North America, Olesz returned back to Europe.
NHL totals: 365-57-77-134
